DragonPlate, a manufacturer of high-quality carbon fiber components, has expanded its carbon fiber telescopic tube supply range to include three new types: standard, robust and deflection optimized. These three types are specially developed to meet the various needs of telescopic pole applications. The standard telescopic tube assembly uses a combination of telescopic unidirectional or telescopic twill carbon fiber tube and anodized aluminum chuck. Due to the breadth of diameter and length options, the standard series of telescopic tubes are both strong and light, providing great versatility. These components are suitable for light applications where the rod ends are not subject to heavy loads.

The sturdy telescopic tube assembly is made of mixed carbon fiber fabric. The combination of additional wall thickness and mixed twill and unidirectional materials provides a stronger structure without sacrificing rigidity. Clamp-on pipe joints are suitable for high bending and high axial load applications, and can be adjusted by the user to ensure sufficient clamping force and reusable without further adjustments on site. It can provide up to 8 feet in length, and allows the use of high modulus carbon fiber tubes, providing up to 3 times the stiffness of standard telescopic tubes.

The deflection optimized expansion tube is designed using Nastran FEA composite modeling. Unlike standard and sturdy lines, the optimized telescopic tube system uses a proprietary blend of materials to provide an ideal balance between weight, strength and stiffness. DragonPlate works with customers to analyze specific applications and develop optimized solutions.

In addition to telescopic tubes, DragonPlate also provides many tube end connectors to connect various equipment and accessories. These modular connectors connect to the end of the telescopic tube assembly and allow the device to be connected with a 1/4"-20 thread. Common applications are cameras or camcorders, such as GoPro™. DragonPlate can also customize the end for the effect of the telescopic tube assembly To adapt to any application.
