For those following the Crypto Crash, things are only getting more complicated. On the one hand, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced that the company will be laying off roughly 18 percent of its staff. Armstrong announced next steps in a blog post, outlining severance packages and attributing the decision to the fact that the company had grown too quickly. Meanwhile, luxury spirits brand, The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. is launching 12 $5 million dollar bottles of 33-year-old Irish single malt aimed at – none other than – “Crypto Enthusiasts.” Titled, “The Crypto Collection,” each of these 12 bottles will be auctioned off via 12 different crypto-currencies. Fans and skeptics alike will just have to wait and see how the launch fares. Today we’re taking a look at Sony’s new high-end Walkman, personalized golf bag and a clever new walking stick. This is Today in Gear.

Sony has launched two new Walkmans, though the standout is clearly the “WM1ZM2.” The brand claims that this device “sets a new benchmark in pure sound quality and listening sophistication,” and we can see why. Built to deliver a higher-resolution sound experience, the device features a S-Master HX digital amp and a 99.99 percent pure gold-plated, oxygen-free copper chassis. Fans can secure the WM1ZM2 for $3,700 and take a stab at filling the 256GB of expandable storage.

Stitch is now allowing users to customize their golf bags. The golf bags have become the first product in Stitch’s new “Make It Yours” program, and users can choose to personalize both the saddle and strap on these bags. The body of the bag is made with Stitch’s proprietary Touring Fabric which boasts all the strength of leather, but remains water-resistant and lighter weight. You can snag the customized bag today for $398, or shop the classic build for $276.

Hermès has released a stunning wireless power bank. Made with Swift calfskin and aluminum, this design-forward power bank also includes a USB-C port for more efficient charging. The power bank comes as the natural next step after last year’s Hermès Apple Watch Series 7, but at €450 per unit (roughly $469 USD) the device is a steady departure from standard power banks.

Col Mountain Tech recently went live with a stellar new carbon fiber trekking pole. Built for more than balance, the “Mountain Stick” easily breaks out into a sturdy tripod. The tripod’s collapsible legs are housed within the stick’s slender core, but once broken out, the legs provide the perfect base for a camera or hunting rifle. With a $349.99 price tag, fans would naturally expect this walking pole to do more than guide the way – yet the device seems more than equipped to exceed expectations.

To build on its recent Summer 2022 collection, Nike ACG is launching several new pairs of function-forward sneakers. Notably, the team is re-releasing its coveted Mountain Fly Low model in a new Ironstone colorway. Equipped with a new lightweight upper, the shoes are better prepared for summer and designed to keep you comfortable on tough terrain. Fans can shop this new release for $150 on June 25, so make sure to save the date.
