* Excellent physical and chemical properties
The density of carbon fiber is less than 1/4 of that of steel, generally in the range of 1.5-2.0 g/cm³, and its tensile strength is 7-9 times that of steel, which can reach 1-7 GPa. Generally, the modulus of carbon fiber is more than three times that of traditional glass fiber, and the modulus of high modulus carbon fiber can be as high as 700GPa. Moreover, carbon fiber has both the flexibility and processability of textile fiber.
* Abrasion resistance
There is very little wear when carbon fiber and metal are paired. Carbon fiber is usually used instead of asbestos to make advanced friction materials.
* Good thermal conductivity
Generally, the thermal conductivity of inorganic and organic materials is poor, but the thermal conductivity of carbon fiber is close to that of steel. Using this advantage, it can be used as a material for solar heat collectors and a heat-conducting shell material with uniform heat transfer.
